In the mid-1950s MGM launched their 55000 series, releasing a bunch of great 45s spanning the Blues, R&B and DooWop genres. This CD release focuses on this series, and presents a fine selection of Uptempo tracks, plus blues ballads, doowoppers and honking instrumentals.
