The Stringalongs instrumental Wheels came from nowhere and became a massive international hit in 1961.
It was written and produced by Norman Petty - best known as the force behind Buddy Holly and The Crickets, but also responsible for a string of successful instrumental hits in the early '60s with The Fireballs and The String-A-Longs leading the pack.
The classic Wheels is featured here, along with the other hits that followed, on a fabulous 28 track collection of original recordings which were originally issued on the Dot and Warwick labels between 1960 and 1964.
