Poison Ivies and the Steady is young band formed in 2014 by Antonella Tambakiotis and Wainer Rimondini, already founders of the well known hillbilly band Wheels Fargo and the Nightingale.
The couple searched for a completely different sound and decided to combine some of their favourite genres: Rock ’n’ Roll, obscure Doo Wop and rockin' Rhythm & Blues.
Then they added an exotic uptempo Ska style, and shook the mixture up.
The resulting infectious late 1950s and early '60s rhythms are already spreading across the Rock ’n’ Roll scene.
