In the early 1980s Wanda Jackson became aware that there was once again a market for her 1950s recordings overseas in Europe and Scandinavia. Since that time she has appeared in Rock 'n' Roll concerts and at Rockabilly Weekenders and has had her profile raised immeasurably by hooking up with the likes of modern pop stars such as Jack White and Adele.

To her loyal rockabilly fans, however, such renaissance events are inconsequential when held up against her classics featured on this 2CD set, cherry picking her very best Hollywood and Nashville recordings on which she was accompanied by the likes of Joe Maphis, Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Skeets McDonald, Big Al Downing and Merrill Moore.
