Rayburn was discovered by Carl Perkins' drummer WS Holland and went on to play with Kenny Parchman and Carl Mann.
He issued three singles on Sun, and as a songwriter has had material recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis.
The Sun Records connection continues, as his more recent work includes joining W.S.Holland and Bob Wootton as part of Johnny Cash's Legendary Tennessee Three.
So, it's no surprise that this great album of new, original material has strong influences of Johnny Cash and the classic '50s Sun sound.
