Perhaps best known as a songwriter, among Blackwell's best known songs are All Shook Up, Return To Sender, Paralyzed and One Broken Heart For Sale which were recorded by Elvis Presley and Great Balls Of Fire and Breathless which were hits for Jerry Lee Lewis.
Many other stars of the era also recorded his work, including Dee Clark, Del Shannon, Eddie Cooley, Carl Perkins and Conway Twitty.
This CD gathers together his own original recordings, including his own versions All Shook Up, Paralyzed and One Broken Heart For Sale.
