Looking Back - The Very Best Of Justin Tubb CD
33 track collection presenting the very best of Justin' Tubb's output for Decca, Challenge and Starday Records between 1953 and 1962.
Justin Tubb was the son of the legendary "Texas Troubadour" Ernest Tubb.
During the early 1950s, he overcame the potential obstacle of being overshadowed by his father's enormous reputation to carve out an eminently successful career as a songwriter/singer under his own steam.
His early hits, Looking Back To See and Sure Fire Kisses, were duets recorded with Goldie Hill, herself another greatly undervalued singer.
This is the first time that this body of work has been thus compiled, and includes a half-dozen tracks which have never previously made it onto CD.
A remarkably versatile body of work, it includes sides like Pepper Hot Baby, Sugar Lips and Rock It On Down To My House, which are much sought-after among Rock 'n' Roll fans.
