Chuck Willis was a Rhythm & Blues and Rock 'n' Roll singer and songwriter whose biggest hits, C.C. Rider (1957) and What Am I Living For (1958), both reached No.1 on the Billboard R&B chart.
He became known as The King of the Stroll for his performance of the 1950s dance the stroll, which was the title given to his 1958 album release.
Willis scored 14 R&B chart hits, of which 5 climbed into the national singles chart.
All of those hits and many more of his finest moments are featured on the superb 30 track collection.
He died in 1958 aged only 32.
