Blues Come Rollin' In CD
Lowell Fulson
Blues Come Rollin' In - 1952-1962 Recordings CD
A major figure in West Coast blues, the legendary Lowell Fulson had talent for making traditionalist blues more than a simple 12-bar redundancy.
He took the jump-blues of Texas to California, where he scored several rhythm & blues hits from the mid 1940s through to the 1960s.
Though his name may not be as familiar as BB King, Bobby Bland, or Ray Charles, Lowell Fulson influenced these giants as well as many others legendary artists.
This quintessential collector's edition contains 28 remastered studio tracks, consisting of a variety of the sensational recordings that Fulson made for different labels including Swing Time, Aladdin, and Chess Records subsidiary Checker, between 1952 and 1962.
Highlights include Blue Shadows, Trouble Trouble, Coming Home, I Believe I'll Give It Up and the smash Reconsider Baby which was covered by Elvis Presley on his album Elvis Is Back!).
This is an indispensable set for any fan of 1950s West Coast blues.
