On West Coast Sessions we have another impressive selection of Phil Friendly's original songs along with some great rockabilly and country classics.
This time the Phil Friendly Trio teamed up with the Grammy-winning guitarist Albert Lee to create a colourful blend of country, rockabilly, roots rock and ballads.
There are some surprises on the CD, such as a track recorded with the rockabilly legend Glen Glenn, and Blue Russian Nights recorded with the guitar great Al Casey and Jody Reynolds, famed for his classic Endless Sleep.
Three of the songs were featured in the US TV hit series Femmes Fatales, and the track Every Single Day is featured in the film Saving Grace B. Jones.
