Although they formed back in the 1940s, The Chordettes enjoyed their biggest commercial successes in the 1950s, during the Rock & Roll era.
With their close-harmony vocal style, they registered sixteen US hit singles between 1954 and 1961, all for the Cadence Records label.
The chart-topping Mr. Sandman (1954) and the irrepressible Lollipop (1958) were million sellers.
They also scored international successes with songs including Born To Be With You, Just Between You and Me, Zorro and No Other Arms No Other Lips.
This 33 track collection gathers the very best of their releases during this period and features all their hits, alongside the pick of their B-sides and a handful of their most popular album tracks.
A handful of their early, non-hit 45s are now sought-after collectors' rarities and have never previously appeared on CD.
