Mel Hargus Pig Robbins is a hugely successful session musician having played on numerous hit records by international stars.
He played his first session in 1957, with his first major recording being George Jones's White Lightning, and since then has played keyboards for scores of country music artists.
He was awarded Musician of the Year by the Country Music Association on two separate occasions and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
However, he started his career as a young rockabilly artist, his best known recording being the rockabilly classic Save It.
This CD release presents his early recordings gathered together for the first time.
