Walk on the Wilde Side CD
Marty Wilde
Walk On The Wilde Side : Singles Collection 1957-1962 CD
After charting for the first time with his third single Endless Sleep, Marty Wilde enjoyed 13 UK chart hits between 1958 and 1962.
Most of these made the Top 20, and more frequently than not climbed the Top 10.
All thirteen hits are featured here alongside all of his non-charting A sides from the period, as well as many of the B sides.
He wasn't the first UK artist to Rock 'n' Roll, but there's no doubt that Marty Wilde was one of Britain's finest.
His weekly appearances of our TV screens via Six Five Special, Oh Boy! and Boy Meets Girls made Marty a well-known face, and the records he made during that time were seldom far from the top of the charts.
Marty Wilde had the looks, but he also had the talent to back it up.
He was one of the only UK acts to breach the US Hot 100, and tour America at a time when very British artists made any kind of impression across the pond.
