Jack McVea
Fortissimo - The Combo Recordings CD

Great West Coast 1950s R&B - the first ever CD release for Jack McVea's complete Combo recordings.   Sax-blaster McVea led one of the coolest R&B bands of the era, scoring a massive hit with his classic version of Open The Door Richard.  He was with the Combo label for little more than a year, but his sessions for the label produced some of the rockinest small group R&B you'll ever hear.

Both sides of every one of his Combo 45s are included here, along with eight previously unreleased takes that have never seen the light of day prior to this release.
