Gatemouth Moore was one of several major Blues artists who gave up the Blues for Gospel. This double disc set is the first ever CD release to combine his early blues recordings with his later gospel work. The whole of disc one and the first 8 tracks of disc two present his complete commercially released recordings for the Chez Paree, National and Federal Records labels - gathered for the first time in one package. Among these great blues recordings are the original versions of Have You Ever Loved a Woman and I Ain't Mad at You. Disc two then moves into the gospel recordings that he made up until the end of 1962 under the name Rev. Gatemouth Moore, many making their CD debut. The accompanying booklet includes fully detailed liner notes.
