British band Thee Mighty Caesars were formed by Billy Childish in 1985 after the demise of The Milkshakes, and were active until the end of the decade when he formed Thee Headcoats.
They influenced many other Garage Punk bands, notably The Mummies and several groups that recorded for the Sub Pop label.
They were one of the main bands responsible in the late 1980s and early '90s resurgence of garage rock in the USA.
