Earl Palmer
Drumsville! + Percolator Twist CD
Nicknamed “The Metronome” for keeping a consistent beat, drummer Earl Palmer is regarded as one of the prime inventors of Rock 'n' Roll.
He played on many classic records, including almost all of Little Richard's biggest hits, and many of Fats Domino's too.
One of the most prolific studio musicians of all time, he drummed on hundreds of hit records.
Palmer didn’t cut many records of his own, but his two LPs Drumsville! and Percolator Twist have become major collectors’ items.
He also cut two late 1950s singles, Johnny’s House Party and Drum Village, which appear as bonus tracks on this CD.
