Red Rombo is a project led by the Barcelona double bass player Lere Mases who, after spending years accompanying other artists, wanted to take the next step and show his talents as a composer.
He does so in the company of the singer Maria Esteban, an educated voice in the world of jazz, and the guitarist and producer Mario Cobo, a real expert in styles like Western Swing, 1950s Rock ‘n’ Roll and Rockabilly.
Together as Red Rombo they present their first album, Push and Play, which mixes influences of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Country, Rhythm ‘n’ Blues, Rockabilly and more.
A great album mixing traditional styles with heaps of class and originality!
