Bill Haley and his Comets Tamiami - The Warner Brothers Sessions CD
After six years with Decca, during which they sold millions of records, Bill Haley and his Comets signed with Warner Brothers in 1960. At that time Warner Bros was a relatively new record company. The first big name act to record for the label, Haley and the Comerts debuted for Warners with a revival of Tamiami, which made the Cashbox Top 100. Although their subsequent 45s fared less well, sides like Hawk, Let The Good Times Roll Creole and Flip Flop and Fly remain huge favourites among Haley’s fanbase.
